Cambridge, Ontario based Canadian company ORD Solutions launched their RoVa3D, the first 5 material/color liquid cooled 3D printer in June this year and successfully raised more than CAD$132,000 on Kickstarter. With the Kickstarter money the company is able to continue their R&D work to push technology further faster.
ORD Solutions has today launched a new Kickstarter project: the RoVa-Paste 3D printer designed to make 3D Prints from almost any material that is available in a paste. You can print with food based pastes like icing and Nutella, but also others in-edible.
According to the company, the RoVa-Paste 3D printer uses a new powerful extrusion technology and is capable of printing soft and flexible materials or materials that will harden into a solid structure as they cure. You can use it to make "bouncy balls, or custom shaped gaskets that are water tight, or the tire part of a wheel for an R/C car", or print objects in plaster which can then be painted, glazed and fired.
The syringe and tube and nozzle are plastic and inexpensive to replace, and designed to be replaced for easy cleanup.
