Cloud engineering platform SimScale is collaborating with Siemens PLM Software and Tech Soft 3D to optimize simulation workflow with better CAD model handling. The new SimScale integrates both Parasolid (Siemens) and HOOPS Exchange (Tech Soft 3D).
SimScale, a provider of online 3D simulation technology for engineers, designers, and students, has just improved its full-cloud engineering solution with the addition of two new software tools. The newest version of SimScale integrates Parasolid, Siemens' industry-leading 3D geometric modeling component for computer-aided design, manufacturing, and engineering analysis (CAD/CAM/CAE), and HOOPS Exchange, Tech Soft 3D's CAD translation software development kit (SDK).
The developers behind SimScale say this double integration will enable a more convenient and seamless simulation workflow, also increasing simulation result accuracy both in FEA and CFD. All processes can take place within a web browser, making simulation as simple as possible with zero hardware and software footprint.
“Our vision at SimScale is to enable every designer and engineer to take full advantage of engineering simulation—independent of budget, hardware, and know-how,” said David Heiny, CEO and co-founder of SimScale. “This includes seamless interoperability with the customer’s CAD system as well as fast, robust, and accurate preparation of CAD data to achieve reliable simulation results quickly. Integrating Parasolid and HOOPS Exchange will help us achieve just that.”
SimScale’s Community plan is free, as long as users are willing to share their projects with the public. A private, professional version is also available.
