Massivit 3D has launched the Massivit 1500 Exploration, a large-format 3D printer that uses the company’s Gel Dispensing Printing technology to produce lightweight, hollow pieces up to 1450 x 1170 x 1470 mm in size.
The new Massivit 1500 Exploration 3D printer
True to its name, Israel’s Massivit 3D has just introduced another very large 3D printer, building upon the success and the technology of its flagship Massivit 1800 3D printer to reveal the Massivit 1500 Exploration. The new 3D printer is available immediately, and is being demonstrated at ISA Sign Expo in Orlando, Florida.
Massivit says the new 1500 Exploration 3D printer will enable print businesses of all sizes to target new revenue opportunities, as it delivers an affordable, “print-shop-friendly” solution for large-format 3D printing.
Suggested applications for the 3D printer, which can produce lightweight, hollow objects up to 1450 x 1170 x 1470 mm in size, include audience-engaging POP / POS displays, illuminated signage and props, and high-endurance molds for cost-effective thermoforming for the retail, advertising, entertainment, events, and interior design markets.
Like previous Massivit 3D printers, the 1500 Exploration uses the company’s proprietary Gel Dispensing Printing technology. This involves the use of Dimengel, a proprietary photo polymeric acrylic gel that cures instantly and which can therefore be used to 3D print ultra-large objects at a high speed.
“The Massivit 1500 builds on the incredible global success of our flagship Massivit 1800 and further cements our position as a frontrunner of innovative solutions for next generation visual communication,” commented Avner Israeli, CEO of Massivit.
Massivit 3D adds that its large-format 3D printing solutions, which include the new 1500 Exploration and the existing 1800, offer geometric freedom, allowing signage businesses to transform standard channel lettering or soft signage into complex structures “in a fraction of the time and cost compared to traditional methods.”

Due to the new 3D printer’s suitability for signage manufacturers, Massivit 3D chose to exhibit the new machine at ISA Sign Expo, the world’s largest gathering of sign and graphics professionals.
“ISA Sign Expo has proven to be very successful for us and we’re extremely excited to return with the landmark launch of the Massivit 1500,” Israeli said. “We expect that the market’s reaction will be very positive as we expand the accessibility of our trailblazing technology to a wider audience.”
The new large-format 3D printer will also be demonstrated at SGIA 2018 in Las Vegas in October.
